I've been visiting this psychiatric office for over a year now, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff is incredibly caring and professional. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel comfortable during my appointments. My provider is attentive, empathetic, and has helped me make significant progress with my mental health challenges. I love my practitioner. I wish the clinic manager was better. It’s frustrating to work with him. I was sick and missed an appointment in February, so I was charged the $100 fee. Absolutely no problem, I came in within a few days, paid the balance, got a receipt, and rescheduled my appointment. Two weeks later, I get an email from Khurram sending me a balance statement with instructions to pay it. I emailed back the receipt their office gave me, and said I had already paid it over two weeks ago.
I did not receive a reply, so I thought that was that.
Maybe a week or two later, I get another phone call to say I need to reschedule my appointment all over again, and I also need to pay that statement- which at this point has been paid a month ago. I say I paid, they say okay. I reschedule to the 4th of April. I think it’s over. It’s not over.
As soon as I’m done with my next appointment, the receptionist has laid out the SAME BILL, that I paid two months ago, on the counter and said she needed payment. The same bill they gave me a receipt for, that I also emailed back to them. At this point, I’m frustrated. I let the receptionist know, that I had already paid and wanted them to stop asking me for it every time I interacted with their business. I was being hustled for a fee I had already paid for and had explained multiple times that I had paid for. The receptionist said she was unaware and assured me that, now that she is aware- she will take care of it and this is it. I even offered to show her the receipt that they sent me, but she said she didn’t need it and then promised me it was over. It was not over. I get a call later that day from whom I assume is Khurram, because he had the audacity to call me and tell me to pay again; just to make me sit there and listen to him open the email I sent him in March: about an issue that was resolved in February, while we’re both sitting in April. He couldn’t have checked his email a month ago? Or before assuming I must be lying and bothering me again? Absolutely terrible and if I didn’t like NP Harper so much and wasn’t already leaving the area, I would have found another provider after that phone call.

UPDATE—
I received an apology from the owner, Dr. Abassi, and I was assured that they are taking what happened seriously, and this situation resulted from a failure to mark my fee as paid in their electronic record system. I felt the sincerity in every word and really appreciated Dr. Abassi going out of his way to speak with me about it.

He also explained to me that the notification system is automatic and has recently been having software issues that are being investigated. The sudden lack of notifications was all bad timing. This conversation really added some clarity and I feel comfortable coming back here. I don’t expect anything like this to happen again. It is also really nice to know that if there ever is an issue, Dr. Abassi will treat it with care and get you to laugh at least once.

AHBH staff is amazing! Sam & Sania have the best customer service ever! They are so kind and patient and they constantly help me navigate my RIDICULOUS  insurance requirements! They follow through each hiccup until care is received.

This is the absolute best Dr. Office I have ever dealt with! Dr. Abassi is the best doctor. Also Sania at the front desk is so quick to answer any question! I would recommend this office to everyone. Thanks again Dr. Abassi and Sania

I have been very happy with the care I have received at Loudoun Psychiatric Care. Lauren has been amazing and my mental health has greatly improved since starting sessions with her.
