Lauren Ridge is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience. Lauren specializes in treating patients ages 18 and over. She has worked in a wide-range of therapeutic settings including: a group home for adults with mental illness, county government as an aging and adult services specialist, skilled home health care, hospice care, and office-based clinical settings. She specializes in working with older adults and adults with co-occurring physical and mental disabilities but also has experience supporting the entire family unit. She has extensive knowledge about the resources and community supports throughout the region. She has a wealth of experience in helping people cope with life transitions. Lauren has provided grief counseling to hospice clients and their families and has experience providing support around end-of-life need. Her experience includes depression, anxiety disorders including OCD and panic disorder, mood disorders, substance abuse, trauma, relationship and family dysfunction, and adjustment disorders. She believes in the person-centered and holistic approach to care that focuses on the client’s strengths and resilience. As a case manager and clinician, Lauren uses several practice models including the family systems approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), strength-based approach, mindfulness skills, acceptance and commitment therapy, and exposure and response prevention (ERP).
Lauren is a passionate advocate of her clients and their families. She is dedicated to attending continuing educational courses and building her skills as a clinical social worker. Lauren loves to continue to learn and grow as a therapist. She is committed to upholding the ethical standards of her profession. She is dedicated to guiding and supporting her clients on their journey to fulfilling their individual goals. Outside of her work, Lauren loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys exercising, gardening, reading, and visiting the beach. She is available to see clients in-person or through telehealth, and she accepts most insurance plans and self-pay patients.
